An Art of Writing on Martial Arts
My respect to the author Robert W. Smith who had learned martial arts a great deal and to a profound depth. Be it western boxing, Judo or Chinese traditional styles. At times from the famed masters directly. So, his comments and criticisms on the field of martial arts speak volumes. Particular attention and invaluable details are focused on Cheng Man-ch'ing, a prominent Taiji master and the marvels of Taiji art. An interesting book for musings among martial arts fans.

Martial Artists under the Lens
The author Robert W. Smith travelled far and wide to be qualified to evaluate the martial arts of the East. Good indepth study and revelations of the genre. Much attention was focused on Judo and Taiji. Cheng Man-ch'ing, a much admired Taiji master, was undoubtedly his idol and was duly given star treatment in this book. Wait! I have to disagree with him on his adverse comments on Bruce Lee. Bruce propped to look good in the movies? His martial arts prowess suspect? Think again, Mr. Smith.
